Tower 42 Bird Study Group To study and collate data on the numbers of species and individual birds that pass across London during spring and autumn migration. The charity that we support for this initiative is Fones for Safety, which support and help people who are in danger. Food and Toy Hamper Appeal Working with Community Links to provide disadvantaged children and families with presents or a food hamper on Christmas day. The Appeal helps those most in need at Christmas in the Tower Hamlets area. Marie-Curie Daffodil Appeal The Great Daffodil Appeal takes place every March. Boxes of Daffodil pins are left in every reception and worn by the reception staff. Occupiers and Tower 42 staff are encouraged to make a donation to Marie Curie Cancer Care in exchange for a daffodil pin. Vertical Rush Challenge 'Vertical Rush' is a race up the stairwell of Tower 42, one of the tallest buildings in the City of London, for the homelessness charity 'Shelter' Over 900 people take part every year running up 920 stairs to the top of the tower to raise over £250k for the charity, Shelter.
